Properly taught, the ability to induce hypnosis is easy to acquire. However, it takes a long time to learn how to use this skill effectively within a therapeutic framework.

We are certainly not content just to give our students an armoury of tools and techniques; one of the strengths of the LCCH course is that it provides a thorough background knowledge of the implications and structure of psychotherapies in general and hypnotherapy in particular. We also ensure that would-be hypnotherapy practitioners recognise, and apply, within an hypnotic context, the treatment most appropriate to their patient and the condition itself.

This is done by means of clinical studies, personal supervision and continuous assessment throughout both the Certificate and Diploma Course.

Once trained, you will find that you have skills which can help relieve suffering and discomfort in others. It is essential, however, to understand hypnotherapy's limitations as well. These healing skills carry an enormous responsibility and great care must be taken to avoid harm which could result from their injudicious use.
