Michael Joseph
Founder and Principal of the LCCH
He obtained his hypnotherapy qualifications - traditional, Ericksonian and NLP - in England and the United States and now has over twenty years experience as a practitioner, researcher and trainer. He is the publisher of the European Journal of Clinical Hypnosis (EJCH) and founder President of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Mr Joseph was instrumental in the development of the full LCCH training programme in the clinical use of hypnosis.

Peter Mabbutt FBSCH
Director of studies
Peter originally trained in Psycho-pharmacology and spent over twenty years undertaking research in the fields of anxiety, tranquiliser dependence, learning and memory and phobias. As well as lecturing for the LCCH, he is the Clinical Hypnotherapist for Guy's Hospital, St. Thomas' Hospital and Southwark Council 'Health Education And Lifestyle Therapy for Hypertension' (HEALTH) initiative sponsored by Bayer Plc. He is also a member of the editorial team for the European Journal of Clinical Hypnosis. After gaining his Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis and prior to joining the LCCH faculty he studied Solution Focused Therapy, a therapeutic intervention which he has successfully integrated into his private practice. Peter frequently gives talks on the therapeutic applications of Clinical Hypnosis to various rehabilitation groups throughout the London area.

Dr Anna Zohrabian MD PhD FBSCH
Medical Director
Dr Zohrabian is Principal of the London College of Clinical Hypnosis (Medical) and a Doctor of Medicine who has trained at the USSR Academy of Sciences, Moscow. She received her Degree of Professor of Neuropsychology in 1984 after working as a research assistant with Prof. A R Luria at his laboratory of neuropsychology. She has been practising as a consultant hypnotherapist for almost twenty years and has lectured for the LCCH on neurophysiological aspects of Hypnosis since 1990. Anna is a Founder Fellow of the British Association of Medical Hypnosis (BAMH) and medical advisor to the European Journal of Clinical Hypnosis (EJCH).

Angela Trainer MA FBSCH
Principal, Scotland
Angela graduated from Glasgow University in 1980 with a degree in Psychology. She specialises in obsessive compulsive disorders (OCDs), the eradication of unwanted habits, women's issues, and the successful treatment of eating disorders. Angela is Stress Management consultant to several large corporations and regional authorities and has her own radio programme - 'Alternative Answers' - in Glasgow.

Amanda Farr PDCHyp, FBSCH, FBAMH
Head of Student Liaison
Trained in Psychotherapy, NLP, Time Line Therapy and Thought Field Therapy, Amanda further developed her skills by studying with the LCCH. Today Amanda lectures internationally. She is a senior member of the LCCH faculty, a Fellow of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis and a Fellow of the British Association of Medical Hypnosis. Amanda has practises in Chelsea and at Marble Arch, Central London and specialises in difficult emotional and psychological problems, including depression and anxiety disorders, as well as the treatment of psychosomatic illnesses. Amanda's role within the college encompasses the responsibility for all aspects of student care. She is also Head of Tutorials, Weekend Supervisors and the LCCH Lecturer Training Programme.

Maggie Chapman D.Hyp, PDCHyp, FBSCH
Director, Academic Assesments
She studied pschology and sociology and completed her studies in clinical hypnosis with the LCCH. Maggie now runs successful private practices in Wimbledon, Barnes and Central London. She co-ordinates internal assessment processes for the LCCH, as well as lecturing extensively throughout the UK and with LCCH International. Her area of clinical expertise is with the effects of trauma, sexual and substance abuse. She is also a Member of the Executive Committee of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis.

Charles Caruana BSc(Hons) UKCP.Reg PDCHyp. MBSCH
Bursar
Charles comes from a psychoanalytic/psychotherapy background, qualifying in 1986. After practising for many years as a full-time psychoanalytic psychotherapist, Charles decided to investigate other forms of therapies which might also produce beneficial but quicker results for his patients. He undertook his training with the LCCH, realising that such training would help equip him to work more effectively as a clinician, and qualified with distinction in 1998.

Bill Frost BSc(Hons), PDCHyp, MBSCH
Bill migrated to hypnotherapy from the defense / information technology management sectors having trained with the LCCH. He has been involved in various hypnotherapy research projects including the development of computer based tools to assist therapists. He has hypnotherapy practices in Central London and in High Wycombe and has developed a reputation for the successful treatment of trauma, addictions and anxiety based conditions generally. As well as lecturing for the LCCH, Bill's role within the college encompasses responsibility for the LCCH website and he is an international lecturer with the LCCH.

Sjanie Hugo BA, DCHyp, PDCHyp, MBSCH
Head of Woman's Health
Sjanie attained her Bachelor of Arts Degree at Rhodes University, South Africa. She went on to qualify with a Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy. Sjanie specialises in fertility and childbirth and other woman's health issues. She works privately and as part of an integrative medical team at the Zita West Fertility Clinic. Sjanie is an international lecturer at the LCCH and has developed an 'Advanced training course in fertility and hypnosis', which she teaches throughout the UK. She is involved in research and development of hypnotherapy in the medical field, and is the Managing Editor of the EJCH.

Matthew Krouwel BA (Hons), D.Hyp., PDCHyp
Course co-ordinator, Birmingham
Matthew is a full time therapist practising in Birmingham. He graduated from Keele University in 1996, where he first became interested in psychotherapies. This interest led directly to training with the LCCH. His main areas of work relate to dietary related issues, such as weight control, bulimia, IBS and nutrition. Matthew is a qualified non-medical nutritionist, and uses this specialist knowledge to provide a more rounded approach with many of his clients.

Dorothy Chippendale PDCHyp, FBAMH, FBSCH
Course co-ordinator (North East)
Is a qualified trainer and lectures on the full range of LCCH courses and is in charge of clinical supervision for the North east. She also presents workshops on stress management for local government bodies and has run workshops for a number of years on self hypnosis and relaxation. Dorothy has run private practices in Skipton and Bingley for over 19 years and specialises in the treatment of anxiety and stress related conditions and pain control.

Graham Watts D.Hyp.(Dist.), MBSCH
He graduated from Strathclyde University with a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, specializing in Person Centred Therapy and also trained in the Externalization Process with the legendary Elizabeth Kubler Ross. He is Drugs Co-ordinator for Glasgow City Council and is currently engaged in research of withdrawal symptom management using hypnotherapy. Graham is Agony Uncle for the Big Issue (Scotland) and is currently producing his own Radio Series with the BBC. Graham lectures for the LCCH as well as presenting a variety of Masterclasses such as Addiction and Relationships.

Julie Wood B.Sc., Cert.Ed (FE)., PDCHyp., FBSCH, FBAMH, Dip.IT
Julie has a degree in Social Sciences, a Certificate in Education, a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis, a Diploma in Information Technology, and Certificates in Counselling and Adult and Further Education Teaching. She co-ordinates the LCCH courses in Cardiff, lectures for the LCCH, is a trainer/consultant for To-Fly virtual reality and hypnotherapy seminars, and runs a private practice in Devon. She also designs and teaches learning programmes, combining her knowledge in Education, Psychology, Therapy and IT.
